Hello Dakka!

I live in the South East London. I'm a member of 2 great gaming clubs both of which hold tournaments and regular weekly games.
Looking for any other great clubs or friendly people just up for a game in South London. Competitive and non-competitive, age 20+ preferred.
Im free to play after work on most week days (except Fridays), and the occasional Sunday.

I mostly play 40k and have a few different armies at my disposal, all over 2500 so i can play a wide point range of games.

Any recommendations or anyone just interested in a game please don't hesitate to get in contact!

The misses and my best mate, whos also my gaming buddy live in Leicester so im up there a lot, that's not far from Nottingham at all. This looks really fun, although i dont have a per-herasy army or founding chapter. At the moment iv only got Tau and GK that are useable, my friend plays Slanesh Chaos, would they be able to participate?
Next time im in the Midlands we might have to take a drive up for sure. Do you play any games on the weekends that arnt part of events?

The March event is a bit restrictive i'm afraid. But our event in July is open to all the regular races featured in 40K so by all means keep an eye on the thread and join us there. Hopefully July's campaign pack will be available in the next few weeks.

If you find yourself on the thread I'm sure some of the chaps would be free to play on non-event weekends as the main contributors to the thread are all relatively local.

Ill keep an eye open for sure. I think a few of the guys from the Local club near me are heading up for the Pre-heresy event IIRC. Thanks for the heads up!

Ah you have heard of them? The two clubs i frequent are them and South London Warlords.
Yea, I could head up to Warhammer World most weekend from Leicester, it's only a 45 minuets or so drive.

Whereabouts in South London are you?

Forest Hill, but i drive so regularly play in Bromley and Dulwich. How about you?

I 've heard of a club in Clapham. Dulwich isnt too far from there but making it to Clapham after work is a bit of a stretch. What time does the club close? do they play weekend games?

I also go to Clapham, but live in Camberwell. Had popped into warlords once, but they never responded to my follow up email about associate membership and I've lost interest in chasing it up.

Clapham is easy to get to using London Overground, as the club is 5 mins walk from Clapham High Street station.

Seems like its got a decent player base in Clapham. What time does the club start? on a good day I could get there for 7pm at best after work (I work up in Shorditch) after iv been home to collect my gear.
Jim30, if your ever interested in a game at Dulwich im always up for one.

Kick off is at 7pm onwards, but play goes on till 10ish.

If you are on London Overground then it is dead easy to get to.

Would like to try dulwich again, but asked about being an associate member (can only play 6-8 times per year) and they never bothered replying. Shame really, but their loss not mine. Perhaps if their membership sec answered more of his emails then they'd' have more members? I know my email was received initially, but first impressions count for a lot, and I'm left thinking that Warlords dont want new members.

To be honest, i see your point. First impressions are important. It took quite a few weeks to get my own membership sorted. As a member I can bring guests, If you ever want to try it again let me know, id be glad to help.
They play Mondays, kicking off about 6 (i usually get there about 7) and finishing at 11. Im free for the majority.

The whole members/non members/committee on the stage thing was my lasting impression from when I went along a couple of times around 2005ish. Lots of awkward standing around with people looking at me during the committee talks. Thought I was going to be blackballed or summat, so made my exit.

Might have changed in the years up until now though, remember them having nice scenery as well.

I normally get to Clapham for around sevenish as well. As long as you have a game and table booked, its no bother turning up at that time. Always end up standing at the bar chatting for a while before the games anyway!

Yep, thats right. Post up in the weekly game thread on the forum to find an opponent and book a table, turn up, hit bar and play away.

Lots of events happening and like as well, so always something cooking over. Plenty of games systems as well.

Hey Guys I know this is an old post, is anyone playing 40K in south west london? I saw some people played in Clapham. I am in Wimbledon park but can commute.
