I've been thinking of making an army on display board for quite some time. I've got a few ideas, but can't seem to decide on one.

Space Wolves
My first thought is a logan wing, Space wolves army. Lots of termies with drop pods coming into land. I'd be hoping to find a way to pin one up in the air and have a smoke plume coming from the bottom of it. Like it's retros are firing to slow it down. Will probably be on some snowy plane and I'll throw in some fliers.

Necrons
I honestly have no idea on these guys. Recently picked up a bunch of models to start a new army. I've not even got a paint scheme sorted yet. So any idea's are welcome.

Ork Speek Freaks
I love the idea of an ork speed freaks army. This will involve lots of vehicles (obvs) and I'll do my best to emulate a mad max 2 theme. But with added fliers, Gazghull and a gargant if I can make the space.

What do you think?

I had planned on putting this in the poll section, but there is no "New Topic" button.

A good drop pod assault is always cool!

For 'Crons maybe consider combat groups rising from their emergent tombs to show the living what for?

Also maybe this would be better in Painting and Modeling instead of OT?

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long

To P & M we go. !

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I would go with necrons and give them a metallic main armor color. However, for the secondary color such as the stripe on the head and some parts on the ribs and arms, I would go with a matte color like white or basically anything that would match the color of their gauss weapons. I've seen this contrast work out really well if some small metallic chip marks are added to the matte parts.
