aright so i saw how cool NMM looked, and so I gave it a go, it came out looking absolutely horrendous, only slightly resembling metal, i will post pics later tonight, but i tried it on the shoulder pad of a chaos space marine, does anyone have any hints or tips that would help? i think my blending is OK, certainly not very good, but alright.

pics help, tools and materials help as well. we need to know what you used to try and get there and see how it turned out.

since you mentioned blending, im guessing not airbrushed, and since a shoulderpad, assuming your going for NMM on armor and not a sword.

sorry for not posting pics, got distracted I promise I'll post them tonight. yes I do not have an airbrush, I have abbadon black, pallid wytch flesh, and a dark grey, i have been meaning to get more, but in the mean time i've just been mixing a little white with the dark grey to get a shade of light grey

also, i have decent brushes, nothing fancy but they work
