The rules in IA Vol 3 are seriously out of date, I think the High Intensity Marker Ligh is only Heavy 1 in the Taros campaign book.

You can find the up to date rules (that forgeworld have freely released) floating around the Internet, "Tetra Rules PDF" usually gets you the right version of them.

Before you go giving Forge World all your money have a read at the new Tau rumours.

If they are anything to be believed Marker Lights will only increase BS by +1 but to every unit shooting at the unit, so the heavy 4 goes to waste a tad.

In my experience using these once your opponent sees what these can do don't expect them to survive for very long.
