Can you make a decent DA army using mainly Dark Vengeance models?

Seeing how cheap they are on Ebay I'm tempted to start a small DA army using DV peices. I don't mind an IC or a couple of vehicles but otherwise, can you make an okay army using DV pieces? Preferably Deathwing.

Not a competitive army really, but casual games, why not. Problems include no storm shield terminators and no ranged anti-armor to speak of, because there's only the Assault Cannon with no Cyclone Missile Launcher included. So basically get some decent ranged anti-vehicle firepower from somewhere else.

A buddy of mine pretty much has built and 1850 list with 2 Dark Vengeance sets and it works fairly well. I think he is now making some small tweaks to the list, but played a bit with those and did fine in FLGS play.

Two DV sets can build a decent army .

get the Company Master (he makes an excellent Azrael)

Bikes and terminators to taste

then add in some extras to stiffen up the list.

Also the terminator sergeant in DV makes an excellent Belial.

I bought 4 DV bike squads, some PG bits, and some WFB bits and made 12 BK knights for only $4.20 a model. That's not too bad.

that'd still mean that with x2 sets you only (unless you made combat squads) two scoring units.....i'd personally buy atleast 1 tatical box and maybe x1 DA chapter upgrade pack and the co veterans.....meaning you get 10 robed DA (and 10 unrobed marines), and a host of DA bits to add to other units/tanks etc

If you use the Captain as Azreal, the DW and RW are troop choices as well.
