I recently played game against necrons which ended very bad for me.
I´d like to ask you for help with creating a competetive list against this necron list (1.850 pts.):
HQ - Imothek, 2crypteks (attached to warrior squads)
Troops - 3x10 warriors (imothek attached to one squad), each squad in Night Scythes,
1x5 warriors
Fast Attack - 3x6 canoptek wraiths (one whip coil in each squad)
Heavy support - 1x Doom Scythe
My list:
HQ - CCS, vox, reg.standard, LC, chimera (ML, HB)
Troops - 2xplasma vets, 1xmelta vets, each in chimera (ML, HB),
PCS, vox, LC, 3xIS, melta, LC
Fast - 1x vendetta
Elites - Marbo
HS - 1x LRBT, 1x Executioner (no sponsons), 1x Manticore
ADL with quad gun.
Deployment: Hammer and anvil. Mission: Big guns never tire (6 objectives).
He stole a initiative and went first. It was crazy, in first turn I lost one chimera (wrecked), 2 HP from LR and 2 HP on another chimera thank to Imothek´s lightning attacks.
In turn 2, he was charging with wraiths. In turn 3, he disembarked his troops from flyers, with their guns striped 3 HP from LR. In turn 5 practicaly wiped me out (all what remained were 5 vets locked in combat with warriors and manticore). And all the time, flyers keeped firing on vehicles :-)
Result: 0-11 (he got first blood, slay the warlord, linebreaker, claimed 2 objectives, destroyed 2 LR).
In this case, I wanted rematch and I´ll bring 3-4vendettas, but I´m not sure of other parts of list (HQ, Troops, Elites, HS) and how to play vendettas (alone or in squadrons) and with tactics against such a list.
Any ideas ? Thank you for responds.

Against necron, there is no substitute for lascannons. Their vehicles are all AV13, and come with 4HP. Attempting to glance them to death is pure folly. In your particular case, though, you seem to be up against mostly fliers. Just throw down a bunch of hydras or some more vendettas and once your opponent winds up on the ground, just shoot him with the rest of your stuff.
In general, though, your list is very scattered and unfocused. You'd probably be a lot better off tightening things down to just a couple of different types of units.

Problem is that he is not using a vehicles with AV value, so I cannot benefit from BiD, and BS3 on those lacsannons without reroll is killing me :-)
They are great against wraiths (insta kill), but to hit with them, I think I am very unlucky with dice rolls.
You mean like to switch to full vet list or foot list ?
Maybe I should use 2 vendettas, 2 hydras in squadron, 2 LRBT (squadron) and some artilery, and maybe try to fit 2 platoons with the rest of points.
I just like playing with both types, vets and foot at once. But I think I can change it, in this particular case.

By any chance, does your meta allow Forgeworld models? It makes a big difference against flyer spam.

Well, you've got a flier, and a tank, and a platoon, and a mechvet squad, and a tank, and a marbo, and a defense line. That's way, way too many different kinds of things. It doesn't matter what you choose, just choose to have more of a fewer number of different kinds of units, rather than having fewer each of many different kinds of units.

I have played necrons more recently than any other army. I have learned it is like taking on space marines who can come back to life. The only tactics I have found the works for my list is the following.
1. Eliminate an entire unit. Concentrate your fire power on one unit at a time. If you kill each model, there is no coming back for them.
2. Stay away as far as possible. Pre measure. Most weapons have a 24" range on the necrons. You have a lot of 36" or more.
My list is mech vets. One plasma vet squad and three Melta vets, all in chimeras. Sniper vets, heavy bolter, and Harker makes the fifth squad. CCS with four plasma in a chimera. Two manticore, ADL w/ quad gun. Melta stormies, plasma stormies. Scout sentinel and hydra. 1750.

Well, space marines that come with 4HP skimmer AV13 transports, can glance AV14 to death with their small arm, and have fantastic flier transports that don't need to hover to drop off troops, and if they get shot down, the guys inside are fine, and can just turn night fighting on and off at will. And that don't have access to lascannons, missile launchers, or multimeltas, or terminators, or scouts or drop pods, or librarians or bikes.
Wait, how are necron like space marines?

perhaps it has something to do with the near identical stat line and armor save?

Yes. Locally most necron players field immortals. The 3+ save and the chance of coming back is rough. If I can stay out of the range of their weapons I do. Pick of whole units. I have had a round where everything shot at the death marks and a squad of immortals. At the end, death marks were gone and three immortals left standing. His we will be back roll, added three immortals backmtomthe squad.
