Subject: Question regarding Calvary

I started playing just a round the SBG came out. I picked up a Rohan Calvary force. However I wasn't too certain how the knock back works when you win a fight. So if I win the duel roll when I charge, does the enemy model count as trapped during the strike phase? Or do I just get my normal amount of attacks? Thanks.

Well if the cavalry has a rule that knocks the models to prone or without a rule the model gets trapped by any other way, then yes the rohirrim rider gets more attacks. If it is just the simple 1" push back, then you get normal attacks. I may be missing something since I do not have the new book (and will not get it due to the price) But I am going off of old knowledge and common sense.

If you charge in and win the fight the enemy model counts as being trapped (knocked prone). This means you get double attacks and if you win priority again this means your calvary can chomp through men as they are trapped and cant strike blows if they do win the fight.

One thing to note, trapped rules changed slightly with the new book. Now you can't be trapped by your allies, they just move to let your guy through.

From the way I read it, you still can be trapped by your own people, one model may give way 1" to let the other through, but if you are too crowded and that model doesn't have the space to give way, you are still trapped.

Atomic Pif is correct. Per fight phase you can move ONE allied model as a "Make way" Move. once thats done, ya trapped.

That was never a change, it was always there.
