Hey dakka
So im thinking of a pre heresy Emporers Children allied with Luna Wolves Loyalist Istvaan 3 force.

My question to you is - Where there any loyalist terminators from either of those legions ? as Galaxy in Flames says nothing about them and i havent found anything in the Betrayal book about them either...

My colours I wear openly, they proclaim louder than any words, "I am proud to live - I am proud to die!"

Ostensibly so...would've seemed a little odd if Horus was like "deploy there. But leave your terminator suits behind."

"Um...why? We always deploy with terminator suits. Something's suspicious."

"I'll need them for by rebellion. I mean...my terminator armour inspection."

Invariably whomever got to wear the terminator armour would be the most.loyal in the legion or the primarchs personal bodyguard, these would not be the people sent to the surface to be sacrificed, also it would be easy for horus to make sure there are no termies, he wrote the battle plan and could easily have said they would not be needed, and his legionaries would not have argued

I can't speak for Galaxy in Flames, but Betrayal says the force (with the exception of the Death Guard*) deployed MOSTLY in Drop Pods, with limited Gunship and Teleporter support - Terminators could have teleported in or deployed from Gunships, they could also have deployed along with the drop wave in Deathclaw Assault Boats.

As for what Terminators: Again I can't speak for Galaxy in Flames but Horus Rising has Loken's company including a single integral Terminator squad before his elevation to the Mournival, if that were even remotely common then I'm not sure it would have been easy to remove all Terminators from the invasion force.

* who deployed the bulk of the legions armoured forces, as well as contingents of Terminators.

I can't imagine that they deployed many if any Termies tbh, and I don't recall reading that they had, but its not to say you can't include some anyway.
It's not unreasonable to suggest they could and I can't imagine anyone minding...

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

I don't see why they won't deploy Termies...they deployed a number of Dreads.
