I did not know where else to post, wanted to put out a warning:

End of january, I ordered some items with TripleHelixWargaming.co.uk , including 2 Empire Militia Boxes. I only ordered with them because they had been referenced as trustworthy on DakkaDakka AND they had the Militia still in store.
Same day I get an info that the order was on hold because those Empire Militia boxes were not available in store and had to be ordered. No problem so far, that happens all the time.
BUT I wrote them an email that in case they could not get hold of the boxes, I would like to cancel my whole order (for the remaining 2 items the shipping costs would ruin any advantage of ordering from THW). I expected this to be treated accordingly, if not out of strict legal necessity (I did not expressedly cancel right away), then out of good businessmanship (as in good sportsmanship, just in business).

No news until 1 week later I get a note "Your order has been sent", giving me the details of the COMPLETE order. "Great", me thinks, "so they managed to still get them before GW re-issues them for twice the price!"
Well, they did not. I only got the 2 other items.
2 days later, and no refund, I contact them again and ask for the missing items, and lo and behold, Steven answers this:

"Thank you for your email - I am sorry to have to confirm that the remaining items from your order, namely the 2 boxes of Militia, are due to be refunded as Games Workshop have withdrawn them from sale by resellers as we believe they are being re-boxed for re-release with new options. I can confirm that the refund will have been processed by the end of the week."

Obviously, I felt a bit mucked about and told him what I had done and what I had expected - no response.

SUMMARY:

They either deliberately ignored my first email or - in case it went into their spam folder - Steven was not interested in a) apologizing or b) making amends. AND he keeps my money until the end of the week. SERIOUSLY?
Paypal refund takes 5 minutes max. I have done it before. And he knew it from the moment he got the negative response from GW, before he even sent the other items! Interest-free loan anyone?

Either way, this is REALLY BAD SERVICE and I would like to warn you making business with someone who acts like that. Anyone else having had problems with THW lately?

I think triple helix are having huge problems.

They shut their gaming area recently (rumours of going into terrain manufacturing)

But before Christmas I ordered some FoW and they forgot to order it until I repeatedly phoned them!

I used to like them but have gone off them
