I don't know what to say about this other than the fact this game needs to fix its lighting. Maybe that was my fault because they told me to slide the bar for brightness until i could barely see the 6 and i could still see it fairly well all the way down to as dark as it could get.
This game is so dark i can see a f*cking thing if i ever tried. I mean like two feet in front of your face dark. As a good scale for this do you guys remember doom 3 and how people complained you couldn't see anything without the flashlight and the flashlight should've been attached to the guns? Yeah well up the darkness by about 3 times as much and take away the flashlight. I feel like i'm going to go blind from how dark this game is in brightness. That is insanely bad. It's this dark 95% of the time with no flashlight or anything. You might say it's supposed to be like that for survival horror but no even a person's natural vision during night time should kick in given exposed to constant darkness that long but because it's the game the darkness is always there and unfixable and even if it was there i should have a flashlight at all times that can light up more than the equivalent of a large round template that i use for blasts in warhammer.
You know the saddest part of all this? The game isn't that bad but the lighting is horrible. Maybe this was a problem on my end but i never read other reviews so i wouldn't know if it's a personal thing or something others have dealt with as well.
I've played through leon's campaign and chris's wasn't so bad aside from being like a super cheesy 'modern warfare'-esque resident evil game and then i got to the part where an (for most intents and purposes) unkillable monster is chasing you in a ship which is so dark you can't even see the passageways. I am not bad at games and i'm not even a huge critic of most games or anything. That said chris's campaign is so bad after that whole ship bullsh*t that i feel like returning the game. I just got to the part where you're flying in a jet.
I got this game for 20 dollars new and i was thinking of returning it almost. I don't think i've ever done that with a game before. The lighting needs to be fixed or this game will be unplayable or so hard to play for my vision that i won't want to play it ever again. I don't even think i want to play through the 3rd person's campaign due to my eyes hurting too much from playing this game.
Anyway what are all of your experiences with this game? Some other thoughts on the matter might be good.
