Alrite, got instantly drawn to this thread due to being on an alien low (colonial marines sucks ) and need a pick up. You didnt dissappojnt loving the look of the Fex i would say the green looks amazing with that carapace
WHOOPS! the pictures just fully loaded! i thought you meant blue or green toungue on the fex i go for the blue carapace with green tounges/gland, it looks far more "aliens"

The blue one has more depth than the green. I would have probably gone for green if you had something like a scorpion green, which is near fluo. However that might require 2-3 layers of blending minimum to merge with the black, therefore:
IIRC the actual aliens have more of a greyish brownish green highlight tone. There was a guy at Battle for Salvation last year with an entire army of them, which looked great. Let me see if I can find a link to any pics...
Also, moving thread to P&M general as the models aren't finished.
Here's a two min vid of it on its display board. The lighting isn't great, but you can get the idea:

I like the glossy finish to make them look slimy. As to the bases - I am getting some deck grating to make them look like they are on a hulk, also in keeping with the "Xenomorph" feel
Blue, but bring it back a little, at least on the carnifex is covers up too much of the carapace.
Usually it is best to keep a paint scheme unified throughout an army if that helps.
Armies: Space Marines, IG, Tyranids, Eldar, Necrons, Orks, Dark Eldar.

Blue, especially if you're going for movie aliens which do include a few blue aliens (and there have been blue ones in the video games too; as for green ones I think the closest they've gotten is a discoloured green/yellow to avoid having an alien that looks like their greenish/whitish blood).
The coolness of the blue also matches the black much better as well as the gloss. If you really wanted green I'd probably go with a brighter colour even.
