My area has a steamroller event coming up, it is an all jacks royal beat down. The game is won only when all models are dead or time is called. Killing the caster does not win the game but it hamstrings the army.

Now the gunners are caster killing, they are worth points and with 3 focus spent to the group I can boost all of my rolls.

Now one driller receives strength of granite, the rockram that runs with it will charge also and they will beat down targets in pairs. I feel I could get slightly better mileage from a basher in some instances just so it can run around and break up melee combat so the heavy pairs can work down their targets.

I assume they altered the rules so that if the caster dies the Jacks simply become autonomous. Because if they didn't a caster kill would still end the game.


Anway, assuming they did, the list looks decent. Although I would try to get a few Bashers in there. Free slams are useful.

Slam an enemy Jack and attack it while its down with autohitting attacks. Even without focus your jacks can still do a number with just their free attacks. And it will annoy your opponent having to spend his precious few focus to stand his jacks back up.
