I've recently come back to 40k at the dawn of 6th after a year or two long hiatus from the game. I've decided to play Black Templars as my army. The only problem is, I don't know what kind of list I'd like to run. I've written a 3 storm raven assaulty list as an idea but I'm not sure. I' would like to either iron that list out, do a foot templar list, or do a classic land raider templar list. I'm not beyond using 5 man terminators squads with two heavy weapons or the typhoon loadouts, but I'd really like to utilize Sword Brethren with a chaplain somehow. They don't even have to be the Terminator armored ones, but they'd be cool. Help an old 40k player out? (Target point level is 1750).

I hate to bring you bad news, but the Power Armoured Sword Brethren are rubbish. TH/SS Terminators with a Chaplain, on the other hand... the only issue is getting them across the battlefield. Both Land Raiders and Stormravens are monstrously expensive, and foot slogging is pretty pointless on TH/SS Terminators.

The "Tactical" Terminators are really good, both the CML and Assault Cannon versions. They're excellent shooting units and excellent counter-charge units.

Like what would a good 1750 list look like?

Even tho the internet says Sword Brethren in power armour in rubbish im planning to run a shooty unit of them with Infiltrate mainly because I like the thought of some veterans sneaking up on the enemy to unleash the Emporers Wrath.
