The Lynx is a superheavy vehicle so it is only allowed in Apocalypse games or in special non-Apocalypse games where you and you opponent have agreed to play a special game of 40k with units that would normally be Apocalypse-only. And the second option is a rare situation, usually involving a special story-based game with good reasons for the superheavy vehicle to be present. You can not just show up at a random pickup game and expect to use it.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

The Lynx is a tank that can give up shooting for a turn to count as a flyer that turn. Given that its purpose is to kill things with its massive gun you will rarely do that.
The Nightwing is a normal 40k unit and you can use it in any game of 40k.

It's a skimmer, NOT a flier.
Just like a Vyper and just like a falcon.
You can use it in normal games - if your opponent is not against using FW in games. You can't make them let you use it - just like you can't make them play you.

See above. The Nightwing is a flyer. The Lynx is normally a skimmer but can count as a flyer in certain situations.

The Lynx is still one of the most undercosted Apoc units. Pulsar at 320 points with Titan Holofields? il take all of them.
Really wont sit in for the nightwing. The nightwing is smaller and shaped entirely different

After running some tests the Nightwing is allright but the Phoenix Bomber is great.
Do consider testing with proxies before ordering a Nightwing.

A Dark Eldar Razorwing makes a great Nightwing with very little conversion, for half the price of FW. Then you can get two!

Other way around for me, Erik_Morkai. I've got one of both, and if it weren't for my legendary bad luck with reserve rolls on specifically Nightwings, I'd say it's my most reliable flyer.
AegisGrimm, the Razorwing is significantly easier to hide with it's tight wingspan, while it may not be a crawling Wraithlord, it certainly is a kneeling Wraithlord as a modelling for advantage comparison.
Should note that for this conversion you'll need two Shuriken Cannons that you won't get a suitable stand-in for with the Razorwing. But if you're an Eldar player you'd have loads of those lying around.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums. |
