Ok i may well be in the wrong place (general?) and slightly cryptic title aside, i am faced with a 40pt dilemma:

in my 1500 DA TAC list is it worth spending those valuable pts on a rhino with extra SB- i have no transports to speak of (barring a DP) or do i go for the boring (no model ) flakk missiles for my devs.

There is obviously more dangerous fliers out there, but can i afford to ignore them/down them some other way (gun line)...

Any help appreciated!

If you have one Rhino in your army and no other lightly armored targets the only Rhino will usually get destroyed in round 1 or 2.
And it gives your enemy the First Blood victory point.

So don't take it, better take the missiles or some other upgrades on your Sarges.

Thanks for the reply, oh well one less model (at least its cheaper ££) -good point about the first blood-hadn't considered that.

btw the reason why i eventually elected to post it here was because its a TACTICAL decision-sacrifice air defence vs unit protection/moveability-the "40pts" is merely the incidental cost.
