I love flight simulators. Unfortunately, the only one I have is ancient (Microsoft Flight Sim '98?) and I haven't got a joystick.

I was wondering whether it was worth investing in FSX and a joystick. Any particular suggestions for either would be greatly appreciated. Bear in mind I have very little money.

I had this game a long time ago, assuming this was the one that came out around 2007 (IIRC)

It's a pain, if you enjoy just flying a plane in a straight line semi-realistically doing some challanges and the like it's the sim for you.

But for me it was rather boring, the best bit was using bulky planes and doing acrobatics with them or getting the red bull stunt plane and going mental.

It's good, but do you really want to keybind everything for ailerons and flaps?

How about aeroflyFS?

Also, is the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro a good joystick?
