Just wondering if anyone knew of any decent manufacturers for post-apocalyptic/dark future vehicle models?
I do like the ramshackle games stuff, but i'm looking for a greater variety.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Your best bet may be to look for die cast toy cars in about 1/50 to 1/40 scale and customise them yourself.

1/43 is a popular scale that will fit well with 28mm wargame figures. There will great variety and you could chop them up nicely with a hacksaw and add armour from plasticard and so on.

Look at this for example...

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

There's a small company in Australia (I think) that makes a very cool 28mm 'buggy' tha looks suspiciously similar to the vehicles from the Borderlands games. I can't remember the name, sadly.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

I agree that conversion of 1/43 scale cars is your best bet. I've used 1/32 occasionally in the past, but I'm moving back to 1/43 and 1/48 exclusively. Other than that, in 28mm scale, you're mostly limited to aftermarket ork vehicles.

Here's some of my converted toy cars and articles on construction. Bigger and better pics at each link.
