So with all the talk of Daemons, and seeing as how they are the only Fantasy/40k that uses entirely the same models. I thought I would take a crack at making bases that could be used for both armies.
It was difficult but I made a couple of prototypes. I actually atarted off with a 40mm square base the first time, then took the circle bases for 40k and made a small metal template to cut out into the 40mm base and tried the edges. There is only a thin outline and small corners remaining of the square base, and it is very slightly taller. But it works rather well. The Daemon is on the circle base and it can be taken in and out of the square outline with ease, making a dually usable, 25mm sqaure base and circle base.
Obviously this will be more difficult with larger bases. But it has worked out well.
My question is, do you think this would be a problem or illegal in some way? It was purely for the purpose of saving money and being able to play Daemons in Fantasy and 40k. What do you think?
