I am hoping Dakka folks might be able to help me out of a bit of a tough spot.

I took a several year hiatus from the hobby with a number of units in my army not finished. (Like a lot of folks I imagine). The good news is I am back, the bad news is one of the key paint colours I was using in my scheme is now not available thanks to the changes in what is offered in citadel these days.

To that end I am looking for a paint that is as close in colour to the old deadly nightshade as possible. I have no problems adjusting the shade but I am unable to find anything in the current citadel range that is close to work from. I admit I am ignorant to some of the other paint line offerings, hence coming here to ask for suggestions to look into.

Any help would be appreciated.

Look to the Vallejo Game color line, they were made to be very very close to the last (one before this one) GW set.

You could also check out the Coat D Arms line of paints. They were the original paint manufacturer for the GW paints, and probably still have the original nightshade (except in a different name).

Edit: actually its Coat D Arms paint 161, also called Deadly Nightshade. Probably your best bet.
