I have a large amount of the AoBR nobz like 15 I think. And I really wanted to convert them to have the guns or powerklaws that the new nobz kit has. But looking at the big choppa arms form my boyz kit it seems that the newer nobz are quite a bit smaller than AoBR nobz.
Does anyone know what I'm saying or am I a crazy rambling man.
Added a picture to show what I mean.

AoBR Nobz = Plastic Nobz
AoBR Nobz/Plastic Nobz > Nob Torso from Boyz sets
The Nobz made from the boy kits are a little weedy. And neither of those are 'big choppas'. Just happens that Nob Choppas are big, but those specific bitz are regular choppas.
The Plastic nob pieces fit the AoBR bodies no problem.

Oh ok, I was thinking that after seeing the two handed choppas form the nobz kit. Would you say I am better off hunting for bits online or buying the nobz kit and using leftovers to convert these guys.

Dude, don't. After many hours of web browsing I've learnt that the best way to make big choppas is to cut off half a tooth pick, and glue it onto the end of a regular nob choppa. It works fine.
If you feel insecure maybe greenstuff tubes and wires onto it. its all good mate.

What about big shootas or rokkit launchas?

Make them out of the ones from the boyz kits, just don't use the hands. Shootas are easily made by adding an extra barrel onto the kombi-shootas after removing the rokkits/skorcha bit, but nobz can't carry just rokkit launchas/big shootas. Maybe they will in the new codex.

I kit bashed my ABOR and Nobz boxes together, they work just fine, maybe a bit of GS work required to get the 2handed Big Choppas to line up properly but that's it.
A normal Nobz and Boyz kit has all the stuff you need to build basically any other conversion.

I find boy arms can fit on a nob torso without much issue... except when they have two different arms with different sizes.
Some tricks:
*A PK pairs with any arm as it hides 'hand' which is the thing visually different between a boy and NOB. So a Boy BS arm and a nob PK pair well.
*Shoulderpads can forgive joining sins. If you give a AoBR nob a Plastic nob BC, and the join isn't perfect, that is the job for a shoulder pad!
*NOBs have had what appear to be electrified choppas for multiple editions with no real rule difference. The only difference between a Choppa and a BIG Choppa is really a visual way to show 2-handedness, usually a much longer shaft. You can easily take a 1-handed CHOPPA from AoBR and extend the shaft so it looks like he is holding it like a polearm that extends to the ground and 'BAM' big choppa.
Since you often will have tons of extra choppa arms, I find often you can cut the hilt of a few extra choppas with interesting detail and extend the choppa by adding them together. Also, the 'rollbar' bitz from the trukk kit are super detailed and make great bitz for extending choppas to BCs so you don't have to customize with plastirod or add detail.
*Burna arms work good to turn a NOB into a heavy weapon holding NOB. The sleeves hide detail, and you can cut the Burna part off the trigger area and make it a Rokkit, Bigshoota, Snazzgun. You can always slap a Choppa or Big Choppa on his back if he is leading a unit and has no PK.

Burna arms are kind of weedy for Nobs after the glove, so you have to bulk those up with GS. Also, Snazzguns are for flash gits ONLY, so if you don't want random AP tankhunters for 100+ points, don't make flash gits.

I'm glad I found this thread, I just got finished putting together a battleforce nob, and converting 2 AoBR nobz to lead my trukk mobs. My poor box nob looks like a runt next to the AoBR ones.

The only camera I've got is the one in my phone, so I'll spare everyone the grainy photos. It's not like they are shining examples of extensive conversion work, either. I just whittled the shoulder strap off of a big shoota arm, made a battlewagon big shoota handheld, and replaced a choppa with a Zinge PK.
