So I sprayed a model using GW's skull white and it came out very runny and wouldn't dry, is it always like this or have I just got a bad can?

Whilst I dont think GW are the best sprays going, I have never seen that before, did you shake it well before use? The photos looks like what would happen if the can wasn't shook well before spraying.

It looks like you we're either too close with the can or didn't shake it well enough...either that or you were using it in some freezing cold temperatures or high humidity.

As a side note, you should clean up those mould lines.

Judging by the pooling and apparent translucency, I'd say you applied too thick a coat without properly mixing the contents.
