The Knights of the Nine are a loyalist Space marine Chapter and successor of the Dark Angels, thus making them one of the chapters of the Unforgiven. They are believed to part of the cursed 21st founding, and almost seems they were conceived to fight in the Age of Apostasy. Their adopted home world of Badon lies in the galactic north near the Dimmamar sector in Segmentum Obscurus, their chapter fortress currently being rebuilt after a devastating internal conflict. The Knights of the Nine have fought in conflicts around Segmentum Obscurus, as well as Segmentums Pacificus and Ultima. The Chapter fought successful campaigns in the Age of Apostasy against the Ecceliarch and was able to prevent them reaching Dimmamar, but after the Age, nearly all records of the chapters' further military accomplishments do not exist, save for those from the Iron Knights, Silver Skulls and Storm Wardens. The chapter seems to be a throwback to the Knight Orders of Calaban of old, the scholarly Knights of the Nine seek a unified Imperium and freedom for its' people. The chapter prefers the teachings of it's own combat doctrines than that of the Codex Astartes.
