Am looking at picking up some second hand bits and noticed a few of the items are painted Finecast but I'd want to strip them.

Never needed to do this before but has anyone else? Success? Don't bother?

Cheers

It can be with anything that doesn't contain acetone, some form of acid, or any "melty chemicals." If something melts plastic, then you won't have finecast anymore. You'll have blobness.

Fairy power spray. A friend of mine uses an old fish tank filled with it diluted, and dips models in it for a week or two to strip them. No harm to plastic, so finecast should be okay

Cheers fellas, I use the Fairy Power Spray on metal models so looks like I'll be giving it a go on Finecast.

Thanks
