Subject: Tech marines and extra implants?

Stalwart Space Marine

I was just thinking... In the event I ever field a techmarine, I don't want to have to really rename him if he dies because I only have one model... Which brings up my question: do techmarines receive special bionics to ensure they are more survivable on the field (or even in normal working conditions behind the scenes) and, if so, what could these bionics be and their function? Keep in mind, this question DOES NOT include bionic arms and legs. Just internal modifications and maybe the servo-harness.

I ain't got time to die, I'm too busy exterminating!
Now, we descend into battle like Angels from on high. The Emperor depends upon us as his messengers, and we shall know no fear! WE ARE SPACE MARINES!
Space Marines can only be male because marine implants only take with the male physiology. Males and females have differing hormone levels in terms of estrogen, testoterone, etc. Thank you for reading this. |

Other Ad-Mech aligned individuals do, so I don't see why Techmarines wouldn't. I don't think they'd go all crazy like the more extreme magi do, but I think they would be way more willing to trade some parts out. The problem is that many of the artificial parts on an internal level would only be replacing the Space Marine organs, and so they'd probably only do it if something got damaged.

I know they sometimes replace the bones in their fingers with small instruments to better deal with the Machine Spirits.

They would definitly be up to altering their body.
Replacing their limbs with mechanical ones that they can add upgrades to.

Like other members of the Ad-Mech they probably believe that their head would be better with a couple of metal eyes and maybe some logis implants or maybe some mechanical legs or arms?
gak for what I know some of those Tech Marines might be 90% Mechanical...

It is my great regret that we live in an age that is proud of machines that think and suspicious of people who try to. |

Most of the fun-loving AdMech dudes believe that flesh is for the weak, whether tech-marines are that hardcore I don't know but I would imagine they'd be up for an upgrade if they could
