Skara

Ice/Shirne world. The planet Skara Located in the Segmentum Obscurus orbiting far from it's primary sun. Long ago Skara was a beautiful agriculture world until constant warp storms threw the planet out of its orbit turning the beauty into a barren ice world. Constant chaotic incursions ravage this world most notable of such was the Battle for Mordheim. Mordheim was the capital city of this world before the war. A chaos warlord sent pirated cargo haulers as make shift troop ships to every major city. The Skaran PDF forces were overwhelmed in a matter of days but in no way did this stop the Skaran people from resisting with gorilla warfare and subterfuge until help arrived in the form of the Emperor's finest; specifically The Black Templars. The black Templars began systematically pushing the chaos defenders from the outlying cities around Mordheim. Months after the battle to retake the world still raged forcing the planetary governor to order a evacuation of Mordheim, leaving the stragglers trapped in the city walls to be slaughtered. Thus began the seige of Mordheim. The balance tipped in the Imperium's favor when ships holding Skaran's own 501st Mechanized and sisters from the Order of our Martyred Lady. The reinforcements ensured the victory but the cost was great bodies were countless frozen and preserved around the walls and inside the city. Apothecaries worked day and night collecting gene-seed from their fallen brethren, the sisters buried their own and cleansed the city with holy flame. The Skaran 501st however half were in prayer while others stood vigil waiting for the inevitable next incursion. The Black Templars impressed by the Skaran 501st, gave the regiment the right to dawn their chapters crest. Since then The 501st Skaran never leave far from home. Their faith and rightous hate for all things chaos are strong. Most notable members from this regiment are Colonel Youri, Storm Trooper Markus and Storm Trooper Sgt. Nickolai.
