Well, I'm a bit crazy because I've started doing my own stat cards. I like the ones out there but due to printing concerns and some of the work involved it kept me from doing them. I have also come up with a way of doing them that takes out a lot of work and money. I'm doing them on a 4x6" size. By doing this all information will be on once side. Also, I can get these printed at any photo place for about 10 cents each! No matter how much ink is on there it's the same price. I'd rather use their ink instead of mine. Here's they layout for mine so far. I've not added colors or anything interesting yet.

Very nice! I'm definitely going to get some cards together when I get my army sorted. I think I might do very specific ones for each character though.

Here's an update with colors and effects. Again it's 4x6". Since I'm still going to use the army builders for most I'm not including costs. These are just to remind me of of skills stats etc.

Clean and stylish, I like them.

Good use of the 4x6 sizing. It will be easy and cheap to print out to the local photo printing store.

That's exactly what I was thinking. One of the problems I had with the ones out there was the printing. I'd have to print it myself and then cut out and put back to back. Work, money, time I don't have. Here I just save them as .jpg sized to be processed by a photo printer. I don't even have to do them all right away.

It has a lot of text. Have you considered making them two-sided? The front could have the skills/equipment simply named while the reverse could have a more in-depth explanation of everything in text. Plus, you'd have room to reference the rules behind AP, DA, Nanotec, etc.

Additionally, because all Seed-Embryos basically have the same stats, you may as well design a separate card for just the Seed-Embryo and leave it out of the individual units. Then again, a second statline is necessary for motorcycle, TAG pilot, and Tohaa armored units.

The point of this though was not to do two-sided. It's large enough to fit a lot. My eyes can't see that small anymore either lol. I'd rather have as few cards as possible too. I like the idea of doing one with common skills. Shasvastii, Morat, Mnemonic, etc. I really shouldn't say cards because they are 4x6.

You know I'm working on these cards. But this morning on the way into work I was thinking "Why print them out when I could just have it on my Nook?" Then I had the thought that I could make it a .pdf with links! It's worked on my nook but it doesn't work well with pdfs :( I think I need to download a program for reading pdf's that works better. So would anyone like me to send them a pdf to test out on their phone/tablet/e-reader?

Thanks for the help. I've sent you a zip file with the pdf in it. So far it's working for iPhone but I don't know about Android tablet and iPad.

I'd be more than happy to test it out for you on my Android. You've got my email.

Great idea btw!

Well I've since added an index page at the beginning and Return to Index on all the others. All the pages are bookmarked as well if you like to use that on a pdf.

Had a play about and they are really handy and well designed! Great job.

As I think you were anticipating, the links don't do jack on my phone. I'll have another look and see if there is something I can do about that at my end.

FYI: I'm using Android on an HTCOnex.

Update: I downloaded Adobe Reader for Android and it works great. I can now click the links happily.

Also, for any other Android users who use a lot of PDFs. Adobe for Android is brilliant! Loads of useful features!
