Okay Dakka, tittle says it all. Despite what I said though, I do want serious feedback. This is my first list using Cryxx and the "test run" I just put it through (I proxxied about 75% of the list) did well, although my opponent quit bc he was annoyed I didn't rush into his charge range and stayed back as he used his, he's Menoth btw, Choirs and jacks as shield walls with Ikreoss's Upkeeps shielding everything. I instead poked a hole slowly into his unbuffed bastions to boost my unit size before I attempted an assassination/charge. Any who, here's the list:

Warcaster:

Lich Lord Asphy (epic)

Jacks:

1x Defiler

1x Defiler

1x Deathjack

Units:

1x Bane Thralls
min unit, with unit attachment

Just out of interest in the Menoth List as well (the Menoth player was my brother), here's a bonus list if any Menoth players could chip in some knowledge:

Warcaster:

Intercessor Kreoss

Warjacks:

Fire of Salvation

1x Crusader

1x Crusader

Units:

1x Choir
min unit

1x Choir
min unit

1x Exemplar Bastions
min unit

So...unfortunately, the game ended (he quit in frustration) before anything beyond sprays were flung and a couple spells loosed by my caster and defilers, so I never got to see Deathy in action. Stupid chickens stealing all the screen time....Comments are highle appreciated for this noob!!!

Who Dey

eAsphyxious' feat should tell you exactly what you want to bring. Banes! I'd go max knights, min Thralls+UA, and Bane lord Taterus. Then add a min unit of Bile Thralls.

The feat turn goes:
•Biles kill your own stuff
•Gaspy completes a charge at the enemy front line and debuffs the caster anyway you can, then pop feat.
•Bring back BLT, a bane thrall, and the rest knights. BLT for the curse, the thrall for the debuff, and the knights to kill. If there is room, have BLT attack, but not if he takes up too much room to fit in more knights.

few things, 1. Your own units can attack your own models? 2. Not really into the stitched up zombie style like bile thralls and the like, so I'd prefer to run clear of any of those (especially the bloat dude...ew) If that heavily nerfs me, so be it. Bile units/solos and the Iron Lich style is why I'm going Cryxx, and I'd like to stick to that theme. And 3. As much as I love knights look, i find them to expensive for what they do, and Thralls seem to synergize better with the rest of the army. Not to mention deathjack well and above makes the points I'd spend on a full knights unit.

As a side note, to be more specific for answers to my post, I run the Defilers just for Arc node shenanigans and for their SP8 attack. Is their a better option Arc Node/ light jack wise that could fill their spot? Or what else to bring to fill their 10 point gap that can do a similar task?

To your first question, yes, you can attack your own stuff. One thing to try is to charge your own dude in the back, feat, then teleport back before hitting your own dude (muahahahahaha). Do note that models can only activate once per turn, so no charging with banes, purging on them, then feating those banes that already activated back and charging with them again the same turn.

To your comment about bane knights, reach makes a huge difference, and BLT or a bane thrall can provide your dark shroud needs. They also have +1 ARM, ghostly, and vengeance. Solo wise, I would consider a skarlock if you've got the points, but definitely throw in BLT (MAT 6 makes banes sad). I would definitely run something similar to what mechnomancer suggested (though his suggestion is 2 points over for 25, and you need to fill your jack points, though I leave that to you)

On to the Menoth list.

First, two choirs is overkill at 25 IMO. You have four choir dudes and three jacks, and if you really want the extra choir then I would honestly max the choir before grabbing a second one for the most part.

Secondly, I'm not personally a fan of crusaders, though they are great beatsticks on the cheap. I would throw a reckoner (amazing jack) or vanquisher (also amazing, especially at dealing with infantry) instead and not necessarily have a third jack at 25. I do like fire of salvation with him, though at low points it can take up a bit of space in the list. I personally like one of my jacks to be an arc node (a guardian specifically, but he's not really that popular and is more of a cornercase, so I won't suggest it to someone starting off).

Third, he really needs a vassal. Without enliven, he's going to get eaten by banes (you out threat everything with banes, except for fire of salvation, not considering the potential to warpath, and that's before curse gets thrown in). Also, ancillary attack helps (I hear a vanquisher shooting twice is better than shooting once).

Finally, the Creator expects more from the faithful than ragequits. Tell him not to get angry about things that happen. As a menoth player, it's not very common to have the alpha struke
