So I have the starter pack of Flames of War (germans), and I am looking for somebody to play against in the San Diego area. I would also like to learn 40k because I am planning to collect a dark eldar army, but I don't have an army right now. But if you have 2 forces I would love to play against you using one!

Basically looking for somebody to help me get into the hobby.

Hah, same thing here. Been collecting and painting random models for the past year or so, and now getting serious about my Dark Eldar and I really want to get the FoW starter and have someone help me learn the ropes. Never played a game of 40k in a FLGS.

Also in San Diego. What part of San Diego are you in? Have you been to At Ease Games in Poway or Game Empire in Clairemont?

I'm in the Del Mar/ Carmel Valley area. I have been to game empire a couple of times to buy some things, but I havn't played any games there. I wanted to learn the ropes before jumping in with them. I do suggest getting the FOW starter: it has some awesome stuff and its dirt cheap!!! I have seen it go for under $80. Let me know if you get it and we can play some noob games.

San Diego is a big area, and I'm not super familiar with the stores in the southern portion of the county.

I know At Ease Games in Poway does gaming, and I believe their Warhammer night is on wednesday. Never been here, but my buddy says it is nice.

You also have Thou Shalt Game in Temecula. Not sure what their night is for Warhammer. I've played a tourny there and it's pretty open.

I play most monday's at Pair a Dice in Oceanside. Monday's aren't just 40k, they are Warhammer in general, but the store is pretty much solidly 40k. I myself would liek to get into Fantasy. And I know there have been a few people talking about it in the last few weeks.

I've seen Flames of War there a few times, not sure how many guys play but you can always ask around.

Del Mar/Caramel is a bit of a drive for those places, just thought I'd throw those out there for you. Hope that helps. Like I said, i'm more familiar with the stores in North county than in San Diego proper.
