Could anyone suggest a good metallic silver paint? I'm looking for one that sparkles much like the gold and copper paints that GW puts out. I've tried shining silver by WarPaints but it doesn't quite have the precious metal shine that I'm looking for. Does anyone have a suggestion for another paint that might do the job?

GW's runefang steel is the one I use more often, it's only a slight shade lighter than chainmail but I like it more. It's your preference though.

I've seen some detail work using Mythril Silver. Does the new Runefang match up well and work as a base for precious metals? If so what do you use as your highlight?

It's basically the same colour, were you to highlight it you'd have to use runefang steel watered down in a paint medium (the sparkly colours tend not to work properly if you use water), or a mix of it and white.

Thank you for the advice guys. I've really been wanting to try the vallejo line of paints. I have 5 hobby stores within 15 miles of my house and none of them carry the vallejo line. The local Hobby Lobby carries the model colors only. The only store I know of that carries game color and some of the other miscellaneous products is over 100 miles away. I only get over to that part of the state about once a year. I find that most sites charge more to ship a pot than it costs to buy it. For now I think I'll give Runefang a try.
