Subject: Gun Turret Troubles

I have predator turret with a twin linked las cannon and the issue I'm having is the gun is loose. There is no friction to hold the gun in place it just lays down on the predator hull (gravity's a b&@%h). My question is what can I do to tighten it up if anything and what have other people tried? The turret was glued with plastic cement I believe and it's mostly painted so disassembling isn't really a feasible option. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated, thanks.

If the turret assembly is loose you can cut through the pivoting point on both sides with your hobby knife, take the weapon right out, then some fidgeting with magnets would be required on the inside of the turret but it could work without any damage to the paintjob

You could put some plastic cement into the swivel point of the gun and let it dry on it's side (or support the gun if upright) so that it no longer "droops". If the turret doesn't come off or such, there's really no point in a moveable gun, is there?

Use a stack of them to prop up the barrel?
Alternatively, you could cut a small piece of thin plasticard and wedge it in beside the swivel to close up the gap.

Thanks I think I can do something like that with plastic card on the bottom of the pivot point on the gun inside the turret.
Are there any other ideas out there?

Just set the lascannons where you want them, and put a bit of a dab of superglue into each side of the joint the lascannons pivot up and down on. It will wick into the gap, if there is one, and glue the gun in place. I did that on my Forgeworld Wave Serpent weapons, as I got them from a friend who had already assembled the model but left them loose, so they just drooped loosely.

Thanks for the reply, However gluing it in place is my last resort.
