Hi,

Over at Age of Strife we've just started a new monthly painting competition. It's open to anyone who wants to join in, there are a few simple rules with the most important being that the model has to be painted in the month of the competition - to enter a photo showing the unpainted/primed model needs to be posted before a painted entry will be accepted. At the close of each competition the entries will be voted on - the results will not be displayed until the poll has closed.

The top 3 entries each month will score points - at the end of the year we will be giving away prizes to the top scoring entrants. We haven't finalised prizes as yet, but we're working on it.

While it's a painting competition we do ask that votes take into account any scratch building or conversion work undertaken on the model, so all aspects of the hobby are taken into consideration. Also, while many of us on Age of Strife play 40K, WFB, LOTR, flames of war, etc, this competition is open to everything so figures, collectibles even scratch built projects are welcomed. The more entrants we get the better - it makes everyone work a little harder, and hopefully will motivate people (like myself, a member of that gaming elite who hoard masses of figures and rarely paints anything) to paint up models they've had hanging around for a while, or finish of that brand new project that isn't quite done.

Details on how to enter for April 2013 are here: http://www.ageofstrife.com/events/aos-pain...3-t6684-15.html
