hey dakka, i'm new to the forums and figured id start off with a Blog as well as a Vlog of my work on my thousand sons army!! So over the course of the next few weeks I'll be uploading photos and a link of conversions painting and other fun stuff that goes along with building up an army! I would love any criticism given this only strengthen my drive to make this army perfect! As well as starting this tasty blog off, i have a semi simple conversion I'm working on with my FW hellbrute! Please give me some feed back! I'm still trying to work in the Mauler fiend arm so it has a smooth transition and would love any tips!

Thats something i haven't seen before! nice idea with the maulerfiend arm.

I would imagine closing the gap by removing the original arm mount between the main body and the new arm arm would help with the transition - that or some armour plating covering the gap.

This also makes me wonder...did the Rubric of Ahriman turn the pilots of the 1K Sons dreadnoughts into dust like the rest of the chapter?

i wondered that my self and couldn't find much fluff on it. The plan after unifying the arm with the body was to green stuff over the "skin" to make it look fully mechanical as to keep with there fluff when all is said and done it wont look mutated at all just a huge mechanical Crush beast of an arm!

On a side note of the Fluff it does state that Ahriman turned all of his thousand son chapter to dust so i guess its safe to assume the dreads wouldn't be an exception

Nice, covering the skin would work - our in a pinch make it look like posessed metal perhaps?

I think its important to close the gap to give off the 'sealed armour' look of thousand sons.

Liking the gunner & terms and the defiler helm will look great with the third eye.

Have you considered some of the puppets war heads?

i have just wasnt sure how well they where gonna scale cause unlike there shoulder pad line they don't really say what the heads are meant for IE the shoulders are like "Egyptian pauldron" then there's "termo's Egyptian pauldrons" id assume they will fit ether or but just did not want to chance it i did how ever Order some of Kromlechs Egyptian marine heads esp looking forward to those sweet Anubis looking ones also waiting on some tomb king bits and some more Scibor weapons and Tank plates! ill post some pictures when my shipment arrives!

Did some work tonight modeling my Sorcerer in terminator Armor little kit bashing and converting and he's looking pretty sexy IMO Also received my airbrush Hose finally ( company i ordered from kinda failed when they forgot to pack it in with my airbrush and compressor which was a whole kit.....wonder how that happened ) So there will be some Color to all this very soon!

Thanks! i liked them alot more then the "traditional" terminator helmets i think the give off a nice vibe for the squad and the Lord well i was trying to get him as close to a "ahriman" in terminator armor as possible which i surprised my self with the kit bashed "black staff"
