Hello,

I read the Image Tutorial and followed the instructions, uploading the images I wanted, and then typing the text to make the images appear in my article, as the tutorial instructs.

However... it's not happening. The images are uploaded, becuase when i re-uploaded them, it showed the history, confirming tha tthey have been uploaded previously today.

Can someone hop over to my thread and tell me if the text I wrote is incorrect, or, if there is a step I have to take betwen uploading the images and typing the text onto a thread?

All the best,

Timff8

I see what's happened; you're looking at the tutorial for using images in an article, but you're actually using a forum thread.

Articles are different from forum threads and posts, and use different coding and formatting.

For posting images into a thread, navigate to your uploaded image in the gallery (I'm going to use this one as an example) and look for the 'Share this image' heading beneath the image itself.

For use on the forums, you need to click the text in the box marked 'Forums:' (if it asks for permission to upload the link to the clipboard, then okay it) and it should automatically copy it (if it doesn't, you can highlight it and manually copy). Next thing to do is simply paste the contents wherever you want the image to appear, such as:

Under this text:

What you should have typed for that to appear is:

Under this text:

You can also use images hosted elsewhere, and oftentimes popular image-hosting sites, such as photobucket, provide the link already wrapped in img tags, so all you have to do is copy and paste what they give you.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.
