Hi All,

My daemons army is consciously quite non-GW mini heavy, and while it has worked out really well for a number of models, I'm stuck what to use for a LoC.

I wouldn't refuse to use a GW mini if I genuinely thought it was the nicest model for what I wanted, but the standard GD would be dwarfed by my other choices, and the FW one is too pricey. I'm aware of the the Ultra Forge Vrock, but don't quite like it enough to justify the cost.

I really wanted to use this..

Which is an old Ral Partha Shadowrun sculpt, but they've been OOP for years, and having contacted the current holders, they no longer have the mould, and I can't find one anywhere for sale second hand.

So, suggestions for a traditional LOC type mini, or a model like, or that would form the basis of a conversion for, the RP mini, anyone?

If you like that model, try the games workshop Cockatrice. Looks pretty close to that thing except more detailed, and it's about the size you're looking for.

That's definitely an idea, but, assuming that's a 60mm base in the pictures, it isn't quite big enough, and I don't think I can see a way to convert it to how I would like it.

Props for getting the aesthetic idea spot on and suggesting something I hadn't thought of though!
