In a 1500 point Tournament over one day how long would you ideally like the games to be timed at, and how many games would you like to fit in one day? I won't make a poll for this as it will be mostly subjective answers, and polls can be rather objective.

1500 Pts?
Since most FLGS usuallly can't get people rollung until 10am, I would say 3 games, 2 hours for 1500 pts.
10-12 - Game 1
12-12:30 - Lunch
12:30-2:30 - Game 2
2:30-3 - break
3-5 - Game 5
5-5:30 Score count
5:30-6pm - Awards and cleanup
Sometimes you can get a 4th game in when doing smaller games, but it limits people who may travel an hour or so for the event or have family stuff. I can do a 9:30 to 6:00 tourney without much planning. A 8AM to 8PM tourney takes more effort.
All depends on your attendee base. If they all local and can do all day, go with 4 rounds!

2 Hours for 1500 is pretty agressive.
In a FLGS I would say 1500 2:15. That 15 minutes is a big difference. Especially with the current meta. Everyone having a Guard blob is slow. Nids with 10+ Psychers and Guant Broods is slow.
I guess Necrons / GK are still fast, but should cater to the lowest common demonimator.
In LA we start at 10am
9 am check in
9:45 pre game talks and mission review. At 1 store the TO will cover any controversial rulings that are prevalent, call out pairings.
10-12:15 - Game 1
12:15-1 - Lunch
1-3:15 - Game 2
3:30-5:45 - Game 3
Wrap up from 5:50 Start clean ups by 6!

So more or less what has been said.
3 rounds is usually all people want in one day (you are looking at 7-8 hours at that point which is a decently long day when you include travel to events.)
Look at it this way if you start at 10 with 2 hour rounds and 1 hour total in break time you are looking at 7 hours and finishing around 5 (and that is very minimal) then clean up and awards. Which means people driving a bit are getting home around 8. Add another round and they are leaving at 10. That assumes everything runs on time.
My opinon is 3 rounds, with as much time in each round as you schedule reasonably allows (meaning if you can run until 6:30 or 7 then set up your rounds with that in mind)

I would suggest a full hour for lunch. Gives you time to get food, use the bathroom and make new friends or catch up with old ones.
