Hello.

I am working on a Slaaneshi themed Chaos warriors army and I wan to include (convert) some sort of Slaaneshi 'counts as' models to act as Skullcrushers. I do like the Skullcrusher models but they won't fit in with my Slaanesh themed force.

I am not sure what models I should use as the basis for the conversion. I have been thinking about Empire Demigryphs. Scourge models from the Dark Eldar will be a good basis for the riders and I'll be able to make the look like fantasy models fairly easily. The Demigryphs themselves will need more work to remove all the Empire slogans but it will be fairly easy. The Demigryphs also come with the same base sizes as Skullcrushers so they will work well as 'counts as' models.

I have also had a look at Necropolis knights and the snakes they have are awesome and I would just need some new heads for them. However I am not sure if the big snakes will fit on slightly smaller base sizes I will need to use. Does anybody have any Necropolis knights and some 50mm by 75mm bases they can use to compare the snakes to see if they will fit?

Also if anyone has any alternative or better ideas for doing this I would like to hear.

Thanks.

The snakes tails go almost the full length of the chariot base.

You could do some repositioning of the tails but that would require cutting and greenstuffing. If you're fine with that they'll fit fine.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I'll look into them and think about what heads to replace the skull heads they have.

Still not sure though.

Could work, don't even work out dramatically more expensive than Bloodcrushers despite being metal!

Those Boobworms are cool. The only issue is they are like you said very pricey and I may want six (6 is the number of Slaanesh). Also they are all the same in how they look.

BUT! You have made me think of converting plastic steeds into something bigger.

Thanks.

Fantasy Cold Ones could work, though they might need some armor plates to bulk them out a bit.

I have some of those, they are cool but they are just too small. Even with loads more armour they would look like cavalry on huge bases.

I think that Demigryphs will be the way to go. They are about the right size and Slaaneshi symbols will make them look the part with new pervert Slaaneshi riders to go on them.

Thanks for all the help, though if anyone has any ideas I haven't though of please do tell.
