Hi I have only just recently bought my first Privateer products and was very happy with my circle starter kit after placing a few smaller orders successfully I placed a much larger order with one of the reputable uk online retailers, this was over a month ago and after much contact they basically advised me they are unable to get most of the stuff I ordered and have offered a refund.

What I find interesting is that the reason they gave is that there are 2 uk distributors one of whom will not sell to anyone discounting by an amount greater than 10% who has plenyt of stock, while the other has no such restrictions but is struggling to get stock from Privateer. Can anyone shed any light on if this is true and if so are PP doing a GW to control market prices?

After reading through threads on here for recommended retailers and checking the retailers in question it appears that all the recommended retailers do only provided a 10% discount and that the retailers who offer larger discounts are normally associated with slow delivery .

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis

Privateer has had trouble in the past keeping up with stock demands, I wouldn't read much more into it than that. For what it's worth, I've never had larger than a 10% discount ordering PP products from the UK, I used to add them on to orders I'd make during coupon sales on GW stuff when I could still buy GW from the UK.

I'd imagine the main reason that they struggle to fill their orders is that their orders are likely far larger. If you're not selling a whole lot due to not dealing with discounters, it's probably a lot easier to keep your stock levels high.
