This is one of my first posts so be gentle. I've started putting together my own chapter of Space Marines, pretty much so I can play them as any chapter if I get bored with a certain dex. I've gone for a base coat of Necrotic Flesh, terrocta paldrons and bronze trim. I'm going to work on the icons and stuff when I finally come up with one I like...and a name for that matter.

This Chaps going to be my Chapter Master he's pretty heavily converted but not quite finished, I'm looking forward to painting him. Got a fair bit of work to do before I get to that stage though.

I'm debating what to do with the Masters face since he might look a bit vanilla i.e. whether I should have him sporting a beard or something. I'm not sure about the ribbons on the end of the axe either, any thoughts?

The conversions look really good as well. Personally, I would cut off the ribbons. Other than that, the axe looks like a great conversion.

The chapter master looks pretty badass to. Where did you get the blade, lions head, and the left hand?

And Dust Prophets sounds like a pretty solid name to me. They look it too.

I think you might be right about the ribbons Freytag, I was thinking much the same myself but needed back up.

I got the blade and the lions head from some High Elf bits I had lying around. The hand is a claw from a thunderwolf but with a thumb stuck on.

I've started painting the Chapter Master now so I'll stick up at the end of the night (though I think he might take a while).

Still got a while to go on the boss but making progress. Leaving the ribbons on for now but only because they have turned out to be a quite useful handle.

hnnnnnnng that axe is so good! I love the way the bold red contrasts the light armor.

That looks great! I agree with textram, the contrast is the best thing about this model.

After some gentle coercion by my gaming group, a realisation that I should stop collecting just Marine armies and quick read through the Dex, I (and indeed the Dust Prophets) have been subverted by Chaos...I didn't see that one coming.

I better start popping their heads off.
