Hello everyone, I just have a quick question regarding Battle of Five Armies!

I recently bought a complete set of Ebay and have been wondering: on GW's site you can find the Warmaster rulebook and an official update for that book. Now, for BoFA the rules are the same as those for Warmaster, so do the rulebook found in the BoFA box already includes all the updates or do I have to read them too?

On a related matter, to the BoFA owner's out there, how would you suggest on expanding the armies included in the box?

Thanks in advance!

I would recommend reading all the updates you can to make sure you've got it all covered. If you have both sets of rules in hand you can easily compare them to each other directly without needing guidance from Dakka.

While BoFA did borrow heavily from Warmaster I don't know for sure that they are the exact same ruleset. As for the BoFA minis you can search ebay. Failing that you can look into 10mm lines from other manufacturers to build up new units to fill in the blanks of what is detailed in the BoFA rules, but not included in the box set. A google search on 10mm fantasy figures should give you some places to check into to see if you can find something that will be effective.

Given the still to coming remaining Hobbit films I am wondering if BoFA might not make a reappearance when the film that includes the battle is going to be released. I guess we'll see.
