I have found that pathfinders are too valuable to leave up front, so I prefer to outflank with 1 or 2 squads and hide the others behind a row of fire warriors.

I think the biggest error with the pathfinders in this game was the 4 man squads... very easy to neutralize. I would take at least 6 in a squad. Or use the forgeworld tetras (for the mobility) or even better, marker drone squads. The Jump-Shoot-Jump really helps keep the marker lights in the game for longer.

First mistake was taking 3 railheads. The only time a Tau player should be taking a railhead is with Longstrike in my opinion. Outside of that, it should always be an Ionhead. I agree that the pathfinders squad sizes of 4 was too small. I run 3 squads of 5 and deploy them a little smarter than this tau player and they always do me just fine.

Zean was definately trying something new. This was filmed almost right after the release of the new Tau. I like your larger units of pathfinders they seem to work better, and they are just as dangerous as the killy unit making target priority even more important.
