I don't really know what to make of kickstarters. Somehow it does seem like a really good idea for projects to get funded, but on the other hand I'm also kind of repelled about the amount of kickstarters out there - so many. As I was thinking about this, I kind of realised what has been annoying me most, that most are so expensive. Committing to $100+ I think is a lot of money, and I would only be able to do that one or perhaps two times if it was something I really wanted. So far I've only taken part in two projects, the latter being this one.
It does supply something I always seem to be missing - combi weapons for marines, I always had a lack of these, and some seriously cool weaponsplatforms that will fit right into my AdMech army. On top of that some really interesting stretch goals. But best of all is that it's really cheap - pledges from $10 where you actually get something besides "honourable mentions on a website". Perhaps they are however feeling the downside of cheap pledge options - it does take a lot more pledgers to round up the desired cash.
Just want to underline I do not have any involvment with the project, besides giving them some money
Anyway go have a look:
