Hello:
I have metal movement trays for my lizardmen, which have magnets in their bases. As I was going through a local craft store I found a "keepsake decor plaque" for $3. It is a 12x12 board with a slightly thicker border. While everyone else in the store saw something to glue momentos to, I saw a giant movement tray. The lip is even the same height as a GW base. I have a stacking plastic container that is, funny enough, 12x12 and each section is tall enough that banner bearers can stand up and not hit the roof. So in theory, I can bring the containers, my army in one or more sections on the wood plaques, and books, dice, measuring tape, etc in another locked on. I could them open up and take out the wood plaque to the table. The problem I am looking at is that the trays and loose figures will slide around in transit, or even have some fall off the plaque if bumped as Im carrying it.

Is magnetic sheeting my best option? If so, any recommendations on the best? Would little metal sheets or magnets be better for the single figures and monsters. Is just using extra foam to make a traditional transport viable, adding magnets to the plaque a better solution, or are there qny other choices I have?

I know, a lot of question. but I'd like to hear a bunch of opinions. Plus,I'd love to know how everyone else travels and moves around with metal movement trays.
