I would like to ask for the support of everyone who plays 40k.
This topic has been covered several times but I feel it need to be properly addressed.
Regardless of which models it is (although in this case it's dire avengers) reboxing the half the amount of the same models and keepin the price the same is unacceptable whatever way you slice it.

Can I ask all hobbyist that care to write a letter of complaint to games workshop about their disgusting price hike please?
I don't care about which army it is, but if this trend continues then everyone is going to be affected.
Maybe if enough people complain we can prevent it happening again in the future.

Please don't reply saying stop pissing and moanin about it, because that stance doesn't really help. This isn't about Eldar players this is about the hobby in general.

And this is coming from someone in NZ, which has it just as bad as the Australians. Only thing I've bought from them in the last decade is paint.

Now that they are doing it to the 40k guys, they want to pipe up... lol They did the same thing with the entire LOTR line around a year ago, and no amount of complaining worked then... not likely to work now. Best bet is use what you got, and tell GW to take a hike...

The best way to make yourself be heard is to stop giving them your money. Whether that means buying used, using what you've got or quitting all together is entirely up to you.

This. If nothing else, you can guarantee that the angry letters absolutely *will not* reach the eyes of those making the financial decisions. That's what PA's and mail teams are for.

I buy all my stuff from ebay, so I don't think a price hike on 40k would affect me all that much. But still... my gosh... GW... what da crap?

trust me it will really make you sick once you see how much it actual cost them to make a set of tac SM, then see the price they are selling it for

LOL I got asked to stop coming to the Vets game nite at the shop, I'd just usually go along and paint, not really wanting to play the so called Vet's. they dont play at any clubs and only play at shop. They all take min max squads, no army roster/Oh i left my army list at home... most are not painted and have poor tactics.

When someone called me on a suggested tactic,(thinking it was poor) I played them and won hands down... Oh yes i play orks (every body knows it)... he puts a marine army with flamers on table... i put my grey knights down. ... oh you cant do that, you play orks and .... (and what you built your army to face them....ok, I'll play normal marines,(oh thats not fair either...
the GW Manager asked that i don't play them cos they'll lose, get stroppy and wont come back...
so i only paint now.... and that's starting to get annoying with kids not only picking up my models, but walking away to "SHOW" there friends,(well i forgot he had it, never seen him or the model again)

sorry rambling, haven't brought anything from Gw shop other than paint for A VERY LONG TIME,

now i'm starting to change my paint to Vallejo and army painter.(cheaper for more) and I cant use them in the GW shop...

Don't get me wrong I love the game/back ground/ models etc.. but the price/rules Fuc*ups ... I can get most of the models alot cheaper ( eg$20 nzd Vs $87nzd for space wolf termis)

Some people just can't stand to lose... lol
