So I noticed that the boxed set for the game 'Leviathans' by Catalyst Game Labs (of Battletech and Shadowrun fame) is currently 50% off on Wayland Games

This makes a box that was previously pretty pricey a bit more reasonable, so what I was wondering is if any of you dakkanauts have any experience with this game and can let me know if it's any good?
I've always been a fan of Steampunk/Dieselpunk so this game is something I've looked at with interest before, but the high cost-of-entry has always been a bit of a turn-off.

I wouldnt mind getting into the game. That sale is great for Uk/Euro folks, but for US people not so much. Once you calculate international shipping cost and time your not saving much compared to US sellers.

US gets a cheaper market price though. IIRC $80, which is often the price in £.

I've never personally tried it but several of my friends back home love it. I was interested in it initially but it took over 2 years after its preview at gencon to actually hit the market and my money/attention drifted elsewhere.

It is a very good game except that you will have to wait for a very long time for any expansion to come out if any.
