Hi. I've recently had my interest in 40K re-kindled as my 10yr old son has decided he might like to do some wargaming - as most 10 yr olds start with 40K, he is no exception. I bought him some of the Dark Angels from the Dark Vengence boxed set to start with as they shouldn't be too difficult to paint, with my help.
As mentioned, this has re-kindled my interest in the 40K world and after a trip to Warhammer World I really fancy getting some Death Korps of Krieg or some 'Legion' marines. I've spent quite a lot of time looking at Google Images of various Heresy marines and really like the 'Sons of Horus' scheme. I've tried a couple of colours out on 'normal' marines but nothing that I think looks right.
Can anyone recommend a good geryish/greeny/blue for Sons of Horus marines??????
If however I go for the Death Korps then I have seen the best examples ever on this site 'Muddy Times'

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Hi Fingon and welcome to the land of Dak Dak!

Can't help you with the paint schemes, I'm afraid, but head over to the Painting & Modelling forums and I'm sure someone can help you there!

I'm a big fan of the Sons of Horus myself, although I have yet to start an army (all my space marines are targeted for a spot of 'tru-scaling' in order to join my take on the missing 11th legion)...

Anyways, if you're interested in playing some narrative campaigns set in 30k or 40k, then check out Animosity Events. Would love to see your SoH there!
