Hi, all.

I'm planning to add some "Tau" Allies to my Eldar list, and consistent with my converting Dark Eldar to look like members of my craftworld, I plan to do the same with the Tau-sourced units. "Guardians with Light Scatter Lasers" are the easy conversions for Fire Warriors, Wraithlord or bulked-up War Walker models with massed Missile Launchers fits for Broadsides... and for the Riptide I would love to put together a Bright Stallion-style Wraithlord.

I've found a passable build log of one here, and a great photo of an amazingly painted one here, but I haven't been able to Google up a really well-made build guide. I get the general idea of 2 WW+1 WL=1 BS, but it's not something that I really would feel comfortable just "winging" (that is a lot of expensive plastic to be putting together without a clear plan).

Thank you in advance if you're able to help me track this down!

Heh Magc8ball - thats my conversion (the build not the awesomely painted one). I did get the painting of my one completed though you can see it here http://voidhunters.blogspot.ie/2013/06/bright-stallion-completed.html
Painting this model makes a huge difference.

Let me know if I can help walk you through my approach if you need any help.

Btw I also have tau allies in my list except I went with Demiurg (aside from the bright stallion / riptide) the Grymn models from Hasselfree are awesome for that.

Have fun with the converting.
good luck with it.

I've been thinking about doing a Bright Stallion conversion recently, and I was wondering if the back/carapace of a Talos Pain Engine would serve for the back of the stallion...?

"Pit Crew! Take this box out back, throw in a rabid Honey Badger and SET IT ON FIRE!"

If I were an Eskimo, I'd build my igloo next to a supermarket on a tropical beach.
