Just as the title suggests.

I live in Sydney and want to try and get a few games of Warmaster happening.
I have recruited a few friends, however I would also like a challenge from outside my group.

Even in its prime, it was tough to find a game of Warmaster! I am really surprised it didn't take off more. Sorry, I am in Los Angeles, which is a bit far. But I sure would like to try this game someday.

Warmaster was/is fantastic. It feels far more tactical than any other war game I've ever played. Best designed GW game in my opinion.

So I managed to find 4, thats right 4! more warmaster players in my area.
We are starting a mini Warmaster tournament. YAY!

And yes Thokt, I agree, it is the best designed game by GW in my opinion aswell.

I moved in 2010 and thought "man, NOBODY plays this game. I threw away (did not sell, threw away) my 2000 point empire army for that reason. No point trying to sell, I'd never get anything for it!

Within a year, half a dozen people decided to start playing. This is why I never threw anything away!

That's terrible! It's really REALLY hard to find Warmaster stuff for a reasonable price, especially the starter boxes.

I know, and I didn't mind the game either, just never had more than one opponent for it ever, and when they moved and I hadn't played a game in over 6 years...

What is this warmaster you speak of? gonna have to google it....

Its a pretty solid little game. GW released it, supported it in WD for about a year and a half, then forgot about it.

Had a friend who bought the rulebook years ago and said he really wanted to play. So I picked up the rulebook too. Then the game was discontinued and the local stores started dumping their minis for 75% and higher off. I ended up with full High Elf, Undead, Dwarf, Chaos, Orc & Gobbo and Empire armies for pretty cheap. Everything was ready to play and go yet my friend never had the time to play. Finally gave up and in a desire to acquire other stuff for games I did play regularly I slowly started selling off the 6 armies I had that were taking up shelf space. About 5 months after it was all gone the friend comes back to me and says we really need to play Warmaster let's get some minis. I smacked him good...

Definitely one of the better written GW games. Leaders were leaders and not just uber killers on the table top. It really removed a lot of the things I didn't like about WFB at the time.

I got alot of figs discounted as well.

The rules are VERY solid and the room for campaign play is wide open.
Did you and your buddy ever get any games in?

I really hope you can get more players in your area!

Here in Athens there are only 5-6 of us but most of the people have either moved abroad or hardly ever play the game anymore... They prefer 40K or Fantasy...
