Hello, Everyone!

My son and I have just started in 40k, and are getting our feet wet with the Dark Vengance set, plus a few additional units. Right now, we are trying to get our armies painted and learn the rules. So many rules!

We've been running some games between ourselves to get comfortable with the flow, and we have joined a couple of games at local GW and hobby stores in the North Dallas area.

I'll probably be lurking for the most part, but you may see me jump in with a question here or there.

Current Armies:

Space Marines ~1250 points with an allied Grey Hunter troop. These are mostly Dark Angels that we decided to paint in the ultramarine color scheme.
Chaos Marines ~700 points, pretty much the DV set plus a few Chaos Marines we've picked up.

Near term, we're working towards getting both sides up to about 2k points, so we have the possiblity of a "big" engagement and some tactical flexibility for smaller engagements. We have also started a small collection of home-brew terrain.
