Hey all!

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks for painting Dark Eldar

Use washes, no washes, what to basecoat with, highlights, what colors mix with what, etc.

Any tips or tricks, or also links to painting guides for them would be awesome

If you are an amateur painter, the vehicles can be dry brushed to decent effects.

I think using washes on the kabalite armor is super effective since it has so many ridges and crevices.

Hello! Welcome new guy to Dakka!

What I might suggest you do, as I did only 2-3 weeks ago, is take a walk over to Google and type in:

"Dark Eldar painting tutorials"

Type that in, and start clicking. Some will be dead ends, some are forum WIP posts (which are worth it, just spread out more), and some are quite amazing immediately.

If you trip across something you don't understand, investigate it.

Eg:

http://daith.blogspot.com/2012/02/dark-eldar-face-tutorial.html

Good luck! Post some WIP pictures, so we can help to critique your work.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
