I built a Soul Grinder awhile back and left all of the legs unattached for easier transport and freedom to pose him. I find that the 4 legs have a tight enough fit in the socket that they will support his own weight without magnets or glue. It does mar the paint job around the sockets though. The sockets for the front two legs are much larger than the ball joints on the model so I find myself using putty to hold them in position during games. Ideally I would like to magnetize the front two legs. I will probably glue the back four legs since constantly popping them in and out will eventually loosen the joints to the point that they will no longer hold on their own.

My initial thought was to open up the ball joints on the front two legs and put a small ball bearing inside to attract to a magnet in the socket. But I don't know if the attraction will be strong enough.

My second thought is to grind the ball joints off the front two legs an replace them with a ball bearing of similar size.

Has anyone experimented with these or other options for making the front legs fully poseable? Could someone share what works and what does not?
